Prescribed Burns
Riverside County Habitat Conservation Agency (RCHCA), in cooperation with Cal Fire, conduct prescribed burns during the spring. Prescribed burns are in accordance with the Stephen's Kangaroo Rat Habitat Conservation Plan (SKR HCP) and Cal Fires Vegetation Management Plan (VMP). Cal Fire will inform the public through newspaper notifications, social media, and signage along major roadways the day of the burns.
